I believe that teaching the Holocaust is important, not only for preserving the history, but for recognizing and responding to current attitudes that contributed to the social climate that allowed such atrocities. Publisher of Storming the Tulips, a biographical book of 20 children who grew up during the Nazi occupation in Amsterdam. Author Hannie J. Voyles went to school with Anne Frank.
